Going to the Gym

I started going to the gym last month. I really think it is a good thing to do and it was one of my New Year resolutions to go regularly. I'm hoping I'm going to get addicted soon because it is still quite difficult to get myself to go on these wintry mornings.

I know I haven't updated my blog for a long time. I guess that's because I've been busy writing.

I am pleased to be able to tell you that I completed the new novel Trick or Treat and submitted it to the Amazon Breakthrough Award contest 2009 on February 2nd. On that same day I published A Summer of Love, my first poetry book. on Createspace and Amazon.

Malta and back.

Went away for a few days break to the Maltese islands. Just one day into my vacation and I had the urge to get back to my books. Not that I don't love Malta - the sea, the history, the Goddess sites, the people and of course the pizza! - but my creative work was calling me home. I resisted the temptation to get an early flight back to London, but as soon as I got in the door I settled down at my desk and recommenced work on my short story collections, my Beloved Alien trilogy and all the other manuscripts I have been promising to complete for so long.

The sun is shining brightly here too and I can hear birdsong from where I sit by an open window. I was glad of the mental and physical and even spiritual refreshment offered to me by my short time in those small islands in the heart of the Middle Sea, but glad too to be home.
